Immediately upon seeing Eunice’s Pinterest inspo board and talking to her on the phone, I knew we were a good match! She wanted a sweet, fun, intimate day with her closest friends and family with lots of time for creative and fun photos.. and that is exactly what she got <3
The ceremony took place in the Santa Barbara Courthouse (yes, this is where Kourtney Kardashian got married)!! The building was STUNNING inside and out and honestly did not look like something that would be in America. There were so many beautiful spots for photos, I could shoot there for hours!!
They had a beautiful ceremony that was mainly in Spanish. This was important to them as both of their families primarily speak Spanish. After the ceremony, we took some family photos, and their guests left for a break in the schedule and we took photos on the inside and outside of the courthouse. At sunset, we headed to the beach for a dreamy scene (and some of my fave beach photos)! After we wrapped up portraits, Eunice and Nahum went to a restaurant nearby where their friends and family were waiting on them.
I did not photograph the reception – I have this note in here so that you know there are no rules for an intimate wedding elopement!! What is covered by photo, what you do, how you do it, and who you share it with is all up to YOU! Intimate weddings and elopements share a special place in my heart because of how unique they are – and of course the fact that photography is very valued and I am given a great amount of time to get creative and not rush, which makes us all fulfilled!!
If you have any questions about intimate / micro weddings or elopements, don’t hesitate to reach out (katiemichaphotography@gmail.com)! I also plan elopements and can give advice on where to start for a mico / intimate wedding (I have done almost 15 destination weddings in the last two years and am well traveled – I have been to 29 countries and counting – so I can give you all the tips and tricks)!
Anywho, here are some of my favorite photos I created from Eunices + Nahams special day <3
